‘Horton Hears a Who’ is one of those fabulous stories from Dr. Seuss that have entertained children of all ages for over 50 years. Horton the elephant is able to hear the cry of the Who living on a planet that is merely a speck and they are so small Horton is unable to see them. The great attraction of the film is the animations that fill the film with typical Seuss type craziness throughout the film and the final credits.
Directors Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino are faithful to the original Seuss' drawings and designs and writers Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio create a delightful blend of Seuss language and rhymes with some more modern language.
Horton, voiced by Jim Carrey, is a delightful elephant of the jungle of Nool who must save the in Whos in spite of the resistance from other jungle inhabitants.
